Cardi B, Madonna reconciled after a brief online feud

Cardi B and Madonna made edits after comments after Madonna made comments reflecting the 30th anniversary of the “SEX” coffee table book.

In one of the stories posted on Instagram on Saturday, Madonna wrote: “30 years ago, I published a book called ‘Sex’ In addition to pictures of me nude, there were pictures of men kissing men, a woman kissing a woman, and I kiss everyone.” She went on to highlight the fierce criticism she had received at the time of the book’s publication. “Now Cardi B can sing about her WAP. Kim Kardashian can grace the cover of any magazine with her bare butt and Miley Cyrus can come off like a wrecking ball.”

On Sunday morning, Cardi took to Twitter to express her dissatisfaction with Madonna’s participation in a now-deleted series of tweets. In particular, she called out the last sentence of Madonna’s post, which read, “You’re welcome bitches,” with a clown emoji.

“I literally [paid] This woman greets so many times because I grew up listening to her… She can make her point without putting on a clown emoji and sticking her mouth out,” Cardi said, commenting on a screenshot of a 2018 article praising Madonna.” These emojis really become disappointments. Once you get into the industry that’s why I keep myself.”

Soon after, Jason Lee of Hollywood Unlocked tweeted that he was “on the phone with Madonna and Cardi” and that he was “hearing both women share their perspective on ongoing connections, and their love for each other has expanded.”

Following Lee’s update, the two musicians updated fans on Twitter that they have worked to fix the issue. Cardi wrote: “I spoke to Madonna…it was lovely…have a nice day and drive safely at Yallas.” she also Featured on Hollywood Unlocked to say “my feelings [were] It hurts a little because Madonna is no ordinary artist to me; She’s actually someone I really look up to.”

Madonna added: “I love you @iamcardib!! Always and always will.
